Equipment E-Waste

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive originated in the European Union (EU) to harmonize the various laws that existed in the Member States.  The main aim is to reduce the amount of untreated waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE), also known as E-Waste, ending up in landfills and to increase the re-use and recovery of valuable materials in these wastes.  Several similar laws have been implemented around the world such that there are mandatory requirements for E-Waste management.  In addition, Kodak Alaris has voluntary recycling programs for used equipment in EMEA and the USA: click on the flag below for more details for the cluster/country.
